Zondag 25 juni 2017 zal de Wacken Metal Battle (NL) finale plaatsvinden, in Muziekcentrum De Bosuil. Tijdens deze middag gaan we op zoek naar de beste metal talenten van Nederland. Zes Nederlandse metalbands strijden om een plekje op Wacken te bemachtigen. Wie zal dit jaar ons land mogen vertegenwoordigden op WACKEN OPEN AIR, het grootste metalfeest van Europa?
Wie zal de opvolger worden van PUREST OF PAIN die vorig keer ons land vertegenwoordigden op WACKEN OPEN AIR, het grootste metalfeest van Europa?

Athena’s Word is a Melodic Hardcore band founded in Lelystad, The Netherlands. The band stands for a strong performance, intense music and atmospheric shows. With strong guitar riffs and catchy rhythms it’s very hard not to bang your head to their music. The goals of the band are to rock every stage and express themselves through their music to inspire and entertain a good audience, but also to expand the borders of music with extreme components in their music and stage performance.
On februari 21, 2015 the band released their first video ‘Deserved Freedom’ and 2 months later the second video ‘Wolf Pack’ followed.
Inferum

Info : Inferum is een Mechanical Death metal band uit Eindhoven met een gemiddelde leeftijd van 19 jaar. Inferum combineert zware, progressieve groove riffs met brute vocalen op een manier die bijna mechanisch strak klinkt. De huidige bezetting van Inferum bestaat nog maar een halfjaar maar hebben nu al de titel “winnaar van beide metalbattle prijzen” op hun naam staan en met hun korte bestaan al een gemiddelde van 18 optredens per jaar.
Inferum is nu bezig met hun EP “Modern Massacre” en die komt in juni uit.

Biography : order of the Emperor is een hardrockband rechtstreeks uit Rotterdam. Beïnvloed door rocklegendes Judas Priest, Black Sabbath en Thin Lizzy hebben zij de teloorgang van de rockmuziek sinds de jaren 80 met lede ogen aanschouwd. Verwacht hardrock die recht in je smoel grooved met classic twin gitaren en melodisch rauwe zang gebracht met de kracht van een sloophamer.
De afgelopen twee jaar heeft Order of the Emperor op verschillende plekken door Nederland en België gespeeld. Zij deelden het podium met o.a. Elle Bandita, Dool, He is Legend, Death Alley, Transport League en DeWolff op festivals als Baroeg Open Air, het Bevrijdingsfestival van Zuid-Holland, Wallenpop en het Eendrachtfestival en in zalen als Rotown, Kavka, de Kroepoekfabriek en de Pit. In het najaar van 2016 de band zowel de 1e prijs als de publieksprijs van de SENA Grote prijs van Rotterdam te winnen.
In het voorjaar van 2016 heeft de band zijn eerste LP opgenomen. Het album is 1 oktober 2016 gereleased op een uitverkocht lichtschip in de haven van Rotterdam.
