“To Serve Man” is the sixth studio album that former Type O Negative drummer Johnny Kelly and former Hades/Non-Fiction guitarist Dan Lorenzo have released together under the band name PATRIARCHS IN BLACK. Across the twelve tracks, Kelly and Lorenzo have once again succeeded in securing the services of some top-class guest musicians and vocalists for “To Serve Man”. These include Karl Agell (Corrosion of Conformity), Kyle Thomas (Exorder/Trouble), Mark Sunshine (Unida) and Dave Neabore (Dog Eat Dog).
The title “To Serve Man” was conceived by John Kelly in reference to the legendary television series “The Twilight Zone”.
“What’s a bit different about our 6th album is there’s no acoustic guitars this time. It’s the first album in a while without DMC ( RUN/DMC). It’s a bit more uptempo from our previous work” sais chief songwriter Lorenzo. “Not for any particular reason…it’s just the way it worked out this time.”
Lorenzo continues, “I’m proud of all of our albums, but I’m particularly happy that MetalVille told me this is our best album. I think it’s our easiest to digest on the first listen.”
