Last Friday evening, the German-Dutch band Tiffany Kills performed on the Live Stage at the Flexiforum Kerkrade.
The band, led by singer John “Jaycee” Cuijpers, came to promote their debut album, ‘World On Fire’.

Above-average talents
The show kicked off with the distinctly Whitesnake-inspired “I’ll Come Running” and “Too Young.”
Two great uptempo songs that immediately set the tone for the evening.
The guitar duo Mathias “Don” Dieth and Christian Tolle proved once again that they possess above-average talent, really letting their 6-strings fly.
Bassist Tom Baer and drummer Tom Wetzels ensured a solid, deep foundation was added to the band’s sound.
And singer Mendy Sneijers provided the perfect vocal harmonies for the songs.

This band is the real deal; they play it live, just as it is, and therefore don’t bother using samples. And they prove that they don’t need them at all.
On top of that, the sound quality was top-notch, and nothing stood in the way of enjoying a fantastic set of rock and roll.
The band has breathed new life into “Pulling The Trigger.” And rightly so, because this is an incredibly awesome song, originally recorded with Cooper Inc., the band John and Christian were originally part of.
The brand-new song “Magic Pudding” was also performed live right away.
100% dedication
Most people are well aware by now that Mr. Cuijpers is a gifted singer. After all, the work he has been recording and performing live with various bands for years is always delivered with 100% dedication.
Whether it’s Tiffany Kills, Praying Mantis, Dio Alive, Ayreon, or Parris to name a few of his collaborations, this gentleman always gives it his all. And the performance on the Live Stage at the Flexiforum is no exception.
The rest of the band also makes it clear that this is a group to be taken seriously, and not just a side project the gentlemen are doing alongside their other bands and ventures. But that was already evident with the release of their album.
With “In And Outta Love,” we slowly make our way toward the end of the set after about an hour and a half. But first, the Kiss/Bonfire-penned “Sword And Stone” and “Living On A Frontline” are played.

Covers as encore
As an encore, we’re treated to two standout covers: “Balls To The Wall,” a song Mathias frequently performed during his time with U.D.O., and the Earring’s “Radar Love,” a song we all know well.
Tiffany Kills made a great impression in Kerkrade, and after the show, the band members were quickly spotted among the crowd, posing for photos or signing autographs on the merchandise people had bought.
It was a very successful evening of top-notch melodic rock, and everyone headed home with a smile on their face.
